Introduction

Although 2008 was a disappointing season following my broken leg, I have undergone a successful rehabilitation period and have enjoyed the break away from speedway. Although at times I was chomping at the bit to get back on my bike and was really grateful to the Workington Comets for allowing me to practice on the Derwent Park track, which is one of the best tracks in the British League.
As a Barrow-in-Furness lad, Workington is my nearest track and offers me the best opportunity to get track experience before the new season and I was delighted when the Workington Comets offered me a contract to ride for them during 2009.
As a long-time Coventry Bees asset, I am also elated to be offered a reserve team place in the 2009 team, where I can gain some valuable Elite League experience and help the Bees to some silverware. With my new contract to ride in the Polish league following a couple of successful meeting for Ostrow last season, 2009 is going to be a busy season and one which will make up for the premature end last year.
I look forward to seeing some of my fans during the season and hope I can stay fit and entertain speedway fans as I ‘push it to the limit’.
