Messages have come from as far as Canada.

The Barrow-born, Workington Comets rider was rushed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge with a blood clot to his brain and a broken bone in his neck after a high-speed crash at King’s Lynn on Friday.

He was practising with the Great Britain team when he had a freak wheel problem and was thrown from the bike at high speed.

Mr Roynon’s father, Chris, said Adam was today in a stable condition.

Mr Roynon was due to have a scan today.
